Russia launched one of its largest attacks on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure on November 3, striking energy facilities more than 20 times in one day. Emergency power cuts were imposed in Kyiv and Kyiv, Zhytomyr, Chernihiv and Cherkasy oblasts, while damage to nuclear power infrastructure forced a reduction in generation. In Kyiv, power cuts also disrupted water supply, prompting backup generators and restoration efforts.
