During the past day and night, Russian strike drones attacked seven communities in Ukraine's Zhytomyr region: Andrushivka, Berdychiv, Zhytomyr, Zviahel, Korosten, Ruzhyn and Cherniakhiv. Energy and logistics facilities, civilian administrative buildings and private homes were hit. Three people were injured, including one child.
In Andrushivka, a drone struck a residential house at about 8:10 a.m. and completely destroyed it. The house reportedly cannot be restored. A grandfather and his three-year-old grandson were inside at the time and survived, but the man suffered multiple lacerations from glass and was reportedly in critical condition. Neighboring houses were also damaged and a car burned.
In Berdychiv, a drone hit a critical-infrastructure site and seriously injured a woman. Postal workers stopped the bleeding and took her to a hospital, where she was hospitalized and underwent surgery. Emergency and other specialized services remain at the impact sites, while medical assistance is being provided and cleanup operations continue. A local commission is assessing the extent of the destruction in Andrushivka.
